SlingDoc is a group of dedicated professionals with an extensive history in the area of transactional document processing. Our founders designed the nation’s first paperless loan origination process and are credited with six patents that cover all aspects of document processing. We continue to innovate and widen the gap between us and the competition. SlingDoc is our premier software platform for paperless transactional document processing.
What is transactional document processing?
Document processing covers a broad array of document types that can be broken down into these four basic categories.:
Operational Documents – This class of documents are outbound statements and notices that are primarily outbound, but may have a turnaround documents such as in the case a remittance processing. These documents are typically produced in batch cycles.
Marketing Documents – This class of documents are outbound and are used to communicate a product or service offering to a target customer. As with Operational Documents they are produced in batch cycles.
Collaboration Documents – This class of documents are for the internal use and has no one-to-one customer facing component. This is where many first generation Content Megamenu System focused, with the current focus now being on Web Content Management.
Transactional Documents – Transactional documents are a class of documents that cover inbound and outbound customer facing documents. Unlike the other types of documents, these documents are integral participants in long lived transactional business process such as loan origination, claims processing, etc. For example, prior to funding a loan you may need to capture an image of a voided check. You also may need to deliver documents to a customer and track the delivery and receipt to be eSigned. Both are examples of transactional document processing.

Why do I need SlingDoc?
For many businesses document processing is a necessary function and a source of frustration for both the business and their customers. Lost or misidentified documents and untimely processing negatively impact the customer experience and increases costs by requiring costly re-work. SlingDoc is the next generation of customer transactional document processing and greatly simplifies the delivery, receipt and processing of customer documents by using a smart phone’s camera as a scanner. The picture from a low end phone is better than the best fax machines. Why not use what your customers already have in their pocket?

Do my customers have to download and install yet another app on their smart phone?
NO software is required on the phone. Everything is done with transactional messaging that is directed and controlled by the SlingDoc System. All of the intelligence is on the server side, so all your customers need is a smartphone with a camera. We can also work with a fax machine or desktop scanned document if that is the customer’s preference.
How does it work?
The core of the SlingDoc System is a task processing engine. You define the task and its subtasks and SlingDoc will systematically gather and process the information. For example – your business processes may require the verification of a customer’s identity using a state issued id, such as a driver’s license. The SlingDoc System sends a message requesting the customer reply to the message with a picture of the front and back of the license. SlingDoc matches the inbound item with the outbound request and can be set to auto process without any human intervention.
Is this another workflow system?
No! We work with your workflow system. SlingDoc simply executes a task that you tell it to perform and tells you when it has completed the task. It can exist within long lived transactions and informs both the customer and you about the status of the requested item.
Where do you store everything?
SlingDoc can be configured to use any object repository. Our services run in the cloud and all customer content is stored in an enterprise class repository with multiple redundant object repositories with 99.99% availability. The online storage provided by AWS is the same that powers Amazon.com.
